The following illustration and the whole works is the outcome of the project for Editorial Illustration university course. I decided to start from a book entitled The Herbs of the Witches in Middle Age: the book’s text explain in quite scientific and historical way the effects of the plants and their purpose, weaving together legends and folk beliefs from all over the world. The cover wants to recall medieval graphic language and representation, still revisiting some elements with more modern characteristics.
Promotional Material
To conclude the project I decided to think of some promotional material for a little marketing campaign. There are the book itself with a new graphic layout and a new cover, a paper shopper and some paper bags containing the seeds of the plants.
